You Refuse to Focus Your Business. Here's Why.

6 reasons business owners don't focus their business, even though they'd make more money. Every business expert says to streamline your offering, narrow your target audience, specialize, niche down, differentiate. But you're pretty sure that doesn't apply to you. Here's why. 6. Fear of boredom or lack of variety. Entrepreneurs are about four to eight times more likely than the general population to have ADHD. So... 5. Worrying that once you choose something, you can never go back (which is obviously not true). 4. Analysis paralysis. What's the most valuable, profitable, rewarding thing that you do? Specialize in that. 3. Imposter syndrome. You're way more qualified than you think you are, and you way overestimate everyone else. 2. Sunk cost fallacy. Your business is already doing way too many things for way too many people, and so you think you have to keep it that way. You don't. 1. And the number one reason is that you're afraid of losing money if you don't do some random thing that some random customer wants. Does that sound like strategy? Does that sound like leadership? I don't think so. Chick-fil-A doesn't serve burgers, and In-N-Out doesn't serve chicken. There's a reason. Go lead your business. Focus. 99
